Senator Kim Statement on Reports of Pause of Intelligence Sharing with Ukraine

March 5, 2025

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Senator Andy Kim released the following statement on recent reports that the Trump administration has paused intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

“Abandoning America’s partners is not smart and it’s not a sign of strength. Curtailing intelligence sharing will degrade Ukraine’s ability to defend itself from Russia’s illegal aggression. We should be clear about what stopping intelligence sharing is: appeasement. If Donald Trump thinks that he can bring Vladimir Putin to the table and win a just and sustainable peace by stopping military aid and intelligence sharing, he will undoubtedly be proven wrong. The only path forward is standing strong with our Ukrainian partners by making sure they have the support they need and a seat at the table in determining their own future.”
